- You can disable either of the preset com ports (1 and 2) by moving
- jumpers (usually) on your i/o board; once disabled on the i/o board,
- you can install what you like at those ports.

- That's what I did and my modem is now on com2 and happy.

- If you have the documentation, it's far simpler than messing around
- with non-standard settings. especially if you have some other board
- (video, sound, etc.) already installed and configured.
